وأشار التقرير أيضا إلى الجهود الجبارة التي بذلتها الإمارات للإبقاء على سير الأعمال وتجنب عمليات الإغلاق الشاملة منذ الموجة الأولى لفيروس كورونا في 2020.
كذلك أرجع التقرير احتلال أبوظبي ودبي للمركزين المتقدمين إلى الانتعاش السريع نسبيا الذي سجل بالمدينتين بعد تراجع حدّة الوباء.
وشمل التقرير تقييم أداء 172 مدينة في 5 مؤشرات تشمل الثقافة والبيئة والتعليم والرعاية الصحية والبنية التحتية والاستقرار.
وفي المتوسط، حصلت المدن في الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا على 58 درجة، مقارنة بـ 50 لتلك الموجودة في إفريقيا جنوب الصحراء الكبرى، المنطقة الأقل ملاءمة للعيش في العالم.

The report also attributed the occupation of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to the two advanced positions due to the relatively rapid recovery recorded in the two cities after the decline in the severity of the epidemic.
The report included an evaluation of the performance of 172 cities in 5 indicators, including culture, environment, education, healthcare, infrastructure and stability.
On average, cities in the Middle East and North Africa scored 58 compared to 50 for those in sub-Saharan Africa, the least liveable region in the world.
