“Abu Dhabi Arabic Language” signs a memorandum of cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for European History

The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for European History, an independent research institute and member of the Leibniz Association, the leading German scientific and research organization, on the sidelines of its participation in the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2022.
The cooperation memorandum was signed by Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, and Professor Dr. Johannes Paulmann, director of the Leibniz Institute for European History, in the presence of a number of center employees and a crowd of interested parties.
The cooperation memorandum is part of the centre’s efforts to strengthen cooperation relations with various cultural and scientific bodies from around the world and aims to create a broader understanding of Arab-European cultural relations in their historical dimensions and contemporary significance. Common interest, scientific exchange and organization of various cultural events between the two sides.
Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, said: “We are proud to collaborate with the Leibniz Institute for European History, the leading academic body, which will support the achievement of the Center’s strategies to contribute to the development and promotion of scientific and creative fields, and to strengthen the research movement due to its great role in supporting output.Cultural as a whole, to provide reliable and trustworthy data and information, create a deeper understanding of the different paths, and exchange knowledge on areas of common interest between the center and the institute.”

In return, Prof. Dr. Johannes Paulmann, director of the Leibniz Institute for European History: “Signing a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language is an important opportunity to expand the institute’s network of relations with its strategic partners, and to strengthen its efforts in research in The modern history of Europe and its relations with countries around the world Arab-European cultural relations are one of the most influential relations in the development that the countries of Europe have witnessed throughout history, therefore the partnership with the center is of great importance to to facilitate a wider understanding of the dimensions of these historical relationships and to highlight their significance at the present time.
Professor Paulmann added: “The knowledge and culture movement in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is witnessing a great development and through my visit to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair in its last session, I was intimately familiar with the distinguished level of activities and events. included in exhibition, and we look forward to cooperation in launching joint literary and academic activities between Germany and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and the establishment of a fruitful partnership that contributes to strengthening cultural and scientific exchange in the short and long term.” According to the memorandum of cooperation, efforts will be made to coordinate joint efforts and strengthen cooperation between the two parties in terms of supporting efforts to develop Arab-European cultural relations, supervising and providing advice and organizing events, activities, seminars , conferences and workshops, joint projects in translation and language as well as the organization of academic training and networking activities for graduate students and professional researchers.
The two parties will also participate in conferences, scientific and cultural events, book fairs and awards organized by the center, and contribute to the scientific exchange between the two parties to serve their directions and strategies, and they will ensure the continuous exchange of information, data , statistics and publications in areas of common interest.
