UAE – Mubasher: ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies, has launched a new laboratory testing company, Union71, to meet the most complex testing needs and provide precise and quick results.

The lab company aims to offer high-quality testing and accessible clinical support to strengthen the healthcare system and reduce costs on both a national and regional level, according to a press release on Tuesday.

Union71 will initially deliver diagnostic services to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), which is included in ADQ’s healthcare portfolio, through a comprehensive test repertoire and lab services.

The Chief Investment Officer at ADQ, Jaap Kalkman, said: “By separating the laboratory business from SEHA, Union71 will focus on delivering faster, lower cost and more accessible testing through a diagnostics-based approach for healthcare providers.”

Meanwhile, the CEO of SEHA, Gareth Goodier, commented: “As we continue to align our business to put patients at the heart of everything we do, adopting new organizational models enable us to become more focused on productivity and efficiency.”
