American comedian-actor Eddie Griffin all set to perform at Dubai Comedy Festival

As soon as the line-up for Dubai Comedy Festival was unveiled, comic lovers of the region were quick to get their hands on their tickets for the latest edition.

While the line-up of the 10-day comedy fest boasts of a spectacular comedian, the grand finale seems to be power-packed since Comedian Eddie Griffin is set to blow the roof off Dubai Opera on Saturday, May 22.

The 10-day of comic extravaganza boasts of comics like Nemr, Harsh Gujral, Kev Adams and Friends, Gad Elmaleh, Maz Jobrani among others who will be performing at the fest.

Eddie, who will sign off this year’s programme, made his name in the late 90s’ and early noughties, starring as Eddie Sherman in the sitcom Malcolm & Eddie, and played the title character in the 2002 comedy flick Undercover Brother.

The Kansas born comedian-actor was voted class clown three years in a row in high school and fans are not surprised where his humour comes from.

The American comedian also portrayed Orpheus in Scary Movie 3 (2003) and voiced Richard Pryor on Black Dynamite (2012-2015). Not just that, he was ranked at number 62 on Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.

With a huge fan following and comic shows, the UAE is sure to be left in splits at the Dubai Comedy Festival.

Bigger and funnier than ever, the comedy fest is set to take place from May 13 to 22, 2021. Presented by Dubai Calendar and produced by BRAG, Live Nation and Dxb Live, the festival is all set with their bunch of comedians to make the city laugh at various venues at the city.
