Dubai: Abu Dhabi’s ADQ has taken an indirect exposure in Verloop.io, the customer support automation platform, which raised $5 million in a Series A funding. This round was led by Alpha Wave Incubation, which is backed by ADQ.

Verloop.io enables businesses to automate customer support across channels, and has processed over two billion queries from customers across its clients. It has over 100 million unique and can automate up to 60 per cent within 30 days.

“With rapidly changing consumer behaviors, brands are now looking to enhance their customer support experience,” said Navroz Udwadia, Partner of Falcon Edge Capital. “We are excited to back Verloop.io and believe their offering is well tied with increasing demand for solutions that enable brands to supercharge their support teams and drive growth.”

The investment will be used to fuel an “aggressive” product development roadmap, which includes hiring top talent in the data science and engineering domains while pursuing geographic expansion across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the US.
