The UAE has reported 1,148 new Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours.
The cases were detected as a result of 87,635 tests conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also confirmed two fatalities and 579 recoveries.
The case count in the country has now spiked to 177,577, including 594 deaths and 159,711 recoveries.
