As the focus remains on sustainable development for the emirate’s region, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will now add to the scheme as the authority organises an environment exhibition.

DEWA will organise the 23rd Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show from October 5 to 7, 2021 at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The event will take place under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is also the official Sustainable Energy Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, and that the annual exhibition will support the sustainable development of the UAE and consolidate Dubai’s position as a pioneering global hub for clean energy and a green economy.

MD and CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX and Dubai Solar Show Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer shared, “The exhibition underlines Dubai’s commitment to supporting global efforts to increase the share of clean and renewable energy and achieve sustainability with its environmental, social and economic aspects. It also supports the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 to make Dubai a global hub for clean energy and green economy.”

The 23rd edition of the WETEX was held virtually in October 2020 and attracted around 63,058 visitors from across the world. The carbon-neutral exhibition, in the Middle East and North Africa, witnessed the participation of 1,076 companies from 52 countries.
