DUBAI, June 12 / WAM / Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons, which aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the two parties and provide opportunities for specialized training for dentists from university graduates through membership of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons and scholarship programs.

The memorandum, which is the first in the Middle East region, was signed by Dr. Zaid Hani Baqain, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Brendan Beck, CEO of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons.

According to the memorandum, the university graduates will, after passing and passing a standardized final exam held at the university in the field of periodontitis and surgery, in addition to qualifying to apply, among other things. membership of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons.

The postgraduate program in periodontal disease and surgery at the university is accredited by the Academic Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Education of the UAE.

Dr. Moamen Attia, Head of the Department of Oral Disease Diagnosis and Surgery at the University, for his part expressed his delight at working with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons to provide the opportunity to apply for membership of the Royal College for candidates in the field of periodontitis and surgery as part of a joint exam between the university and the Royal College, which points out that the memorandum will give graduates of the university the opportunity to participate in continuing education and become members and fellows of an institution operating with the highest international standards and evidence-based in dental education , training and clinical practice.
