Emirates News Agency – Community donations support “Dubai Endowments” projects with 37 million dirhams

DUBAI, August 8 / WAM / The Endowment and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai has established scholarship projects worth 37 million dirhams over the past three years from the proceeds of community donations.

The foundation stated that community contributions helped provide a financial coverage of 79 percent for the implementation of 13 charitable projects from 2019 to this year, while the total cost of the projects was estimated at forty-seven million dirhams.

The projects include a variety of charitable endowments, including Endowment for Watering Hope, Qirtas Endowment, Health Endowment, my Prayer Endowment and others.

The foundation affirmed that simple donations made by philanthropists through piggy banks, electronic donations, mobile applications, text messages and monthly salary deductions contribute to the building of sustainable endowments that benefit the community and encourages community members to donate through these funds to contribute to the reconstruction of the charitable endowment.

For his part, His Excellency Khalid Al Thani, Deputy Secretary General of the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai, said that individual community donations, despite their simplicity, contribute to the financing of various charitable endowment projects. And ensures that its revenues are used to meet society’s needs in the areas of health, education, mosque services and others.

Al-Thani added that thanks to the community contributions of the benefactors, the foundation has completed real estate investments that varied between residential properties and commercial shops. He pointed out that these endowments constitute a permanent charitable investment which has a great developmental impact on the individual. and the community and his happiness extends his thanks to the contributors.. He called on all sections of society to participate in This humanitarian work which reflects the culture of giving inherent in Emirati society.
