PARIS, 30 August 2022 (WAM) — France has experienced its second hottest summer since 1900, the German news agency (dpa) has quoted Météo-France.

According to meteorologists, this year’s June, July and August will reflect a meteorological summer, with national average temperatures likely to be 2.3 degrees warmer than baseline.

It was the second hottest summer since 1900, after an even hotter summer in 2003.

According to Météo-France, the country has experienced three heat waves in the past three months, described as particularly intense and long.
