Emirates News Agency – Ruler of Ajman receives President of South Sudan

AJMAN, 25 October / WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, received today at his court at . the Court, the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, and his accompanying delegation, which included Dr. Barnaba Marial, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Nadia Urub Dodi, Minister of Culture and Heritage, Simon Nin, Director of External Security, Garang Garang, South Sudan’s Ambassador to the UAE, and Kondok, Consul General in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness the Ruler of Ajman welcomed President Salva Kiir and his accompanying delegation and they discussed ways to strengthen cooperative relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of South Sudan and reaffirmed the UAE’s support for anything that achieves the interest of the people of the South. Sudan and their aspirations for prosperity and development His Highness and President Salva Kiir also exchanged speeches on a number of issues of mutual interest.

The President of South Sudan, for his part, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception. He expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s support to his country at the development level and his country’s ambition to improve bilateral cooperation with the UAE in all fields, especially in view of the central development and humanitarian role played by the UAE on the African continent and its presence on regional and global level.

The President of South Sudan praised the country’s pioneering development process and the extensive cultural renaissance that the UAE in general and Ajman is witnessing in all fields.
