It was organized by the World Green Economy Organization (WGEO), Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. The summit was organized under the theme ‘Climate Action Leadership through Collaboration: The Roadmap to Net-Zero’. During a Ministerial Roundtable on the Green Economy at the WGES with around 25 ministers and officials from around the world, His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Al Tayer, President of WGEO and MD and CEO of DEWA, launched the ‘Global Coalition on Green Economy’ to form a coalition did. To enhance the capacity of developing countries to prioritize green economy in the context of climate action and sustainable development, provide support for their green economy transition projects and exchange knowledge on implementation.
Al Tayer said the alliance will continue to grow, be replicated, and upgraded in various domains. He invited leaders from around the world to join the journey and support effective green economic solutions that meet current economic and environmental needs.
