His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and His Excellency Aleksandar Vucic, President of the friendly Republic of Serbia, discussed various aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries and promising opportunities for its development and diversification of its base to serve their mutual interests, in addition to a number of regional and international issues and developments of interest to the two countries.

This came during a session of talks held by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan – at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi – with His Excellency Alexander Vucic, who started an official visit to the country today.

His Highness the President of the State welcomed the Serbian president and the accompanying delegation in the UAE, looking forward that the visit would constitute qualitative support for bilateral relations to open new areas of cooperation between the two countries to meet the aspirations of their peoples and their peoples for further progress, sustainable development and prosperity.

His Highness the President of the State and the Serbian President reviewed the bilateral cooperation tracks in the investment, economic and trade fields, in addition to science and technology, food security, agriculture, renewable energy, space and other aspects of cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also dealt with a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

His Highness the President of the State said that the UAE-Serbian relations are strong and in continuous development, pointing out that the fields of cooperation between the two countries are diverse, including many vital sectors, which are witnessing today the signing of ten agreements to strengthen bridges of cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, His Excellency Aleksandar Vucic expressed his happiness to meet His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing his thanks for the generous hospitality and good reception he received.

He referred to the support provided by the UAE to his country, especially in difficult times, stressing his country’s interest in expanding the horizons of its relations with the country in light of the many opportunities and ingredients available to strengthen them.

The two sides welcomed the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement announced by the UAE and Serbia today, stressing its importance in expanding the horizons of joint cooperation and investing in the diverse opportunities available to the two countries in many fields to achieve their mutual interests and meet the aspirations of their peoples for further development and prosperity.

The President of Serbia recorded a speech in the special VIP register at Qasr Al Watan, in which he expressed his happiness at visiting the UAE and his pride in the friendly relations between the two countries, wishing further growth and development of these relations and the continued progress and prosperity of the country.
