Vertical farming company AeroFarms has begun building a 54,000-square-foot indoor farm in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, that will also act as a research and development facility. The facility, set to open next year, is one of four agtech companies splitting $150 million in funding from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office in a project aimed at shoring up food security in the UAE.
