IBN BATTUTA MALL SHOWCASES LOCAL DIVERSITY THROUGH GRAFFITI ART
Dubai, UAE: 26 October 2020 – Ibn Battuta Mall, the themed mall and architectural wonder by Nakheel Malls, has canvassed the corridor between Andalusia and Tunisia themed courts and transformed it into an art pathway. Handrawn by award-winning artist Shahul Hameed, the 280 sqm graffiti displays Dubai’s unique diversity.
Curated by Zaahirah Muthy from ZeeArts. the canvas showcases colourful, youthful and modern silhouettes focusing on people coming from different parts of the world living in the modernized era of Dubai – the city where dreams are made. Shahul Hameed, started painting at a young age and started his career as an abstract artist. Through his art, he seeks to capture the emotions of a moment, story, experience and render them to the onlooker in a way that the public are able to savour the same experience. Shahul has won several awards in the UAE for his work and his work is illustrated in different strategic locations across the Emirates.
