Oman-UAE land borders to reopen on September 1, says official

MUSCAT: The land borders between Oman and UAE will be reopened on September 1, a top official has confirmed.

Speaking at the Supreme Committee press conference, Dr. Saif Al Abri, Director General of Disease Control and Control at the Ministry of Health said the land ports between the two countries will be opened next month. “The land ports between the Sultanate and United Arab Emirates will be opened starting from the first of September, according to the conditions set by the Supreme Committee, including taking the vaccine and examination before coming to the port,” Al Abri said.

Meanwhile, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health said there are discussions to exempt citizens GCC countries from the PCR examination, “for those who received two doses of the vaccinations approved in these countries, provided that the time period for the last dose exceeded two weeks.,” Al Saidi added.
