Talented creatives could land themselves free studio space.

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) has now opened registration for its third edition of the Cultural Foundation’s Art Residency programme.

The residency provides space and a platform for professional artists, who have until Sunday November 15 to apply.

A total of 10 artists will be chosen as artists-in-residence, provided with a studio space, specialised resources and access to the Cultural Foundation’s facilities in Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street to exhibit their work.

Those picked will start their residency from January 25, 2021 to June 20, or from June 25, 2021 to January 20, 2022.

“From its beginnings three decades ago, Cultural Foundation has always been a haven for cultural and intellectual exchange in the very heart of the capital,” says director of Cultural Foundation Reem Fadda.

“It is our hope that this new cohort of resident artists will take this opportunity to not only work on their art but to grow and learn from each other in this supportive and collaborative environment.”
