The first ROKA location in the Middle East is collaborating with local graffiti artist to mark the occasion
Dubai UAE – : This month, contemporary Japanese robatayaki restaurant ROKA is celebrating its second anniversary in Dubai. Located in ME Dubai within The Opus by Omniyat, its unique style of contemporary Japanese cooking and urban design has made the venue a Downtown hotspot.
The first international outpost outside London, ROKA Dubai opened its doors in March 2020 and has made its mark on the Dubai food scene. Specialising in Japanese robatyaki, the urban restaurant has captivated guests since its launch with its open kitchen, breathtaking terrace and intimate bar revolved around elevated flavours.
In addition to ROKA Dubai favourites, an exclusive dish and dessert will be on the menu to celebrate the milestone. From Monday, 28th March to Sunday 3rd April, ROKA will be offering Grilled Hokkaido Scallop with wasabi and shisho (AED 110) and a unique dessert, Crunchy Banana Ice Cream Puffs with miso-lime toffee (AED 39).
Additionally, the popular Japanese robatayaki restaurant is collaborating with acclaimed New Zealand born artist, Gary Yong to commission a timeless piece of artwork. The UAE based artist, known for his larger-than-life street murals, is to create his own artistic expression of the Japanese culture to sit in the entrance to ROKA’s Dubai venue, next to the brand’s famous wishing tree.
Boasting some of the best food and drinks in the city, ROKA Dubai have also recently launched an exclusive Highball cocktail menu. Created in mind of traditional Japanese culture with a modern flair, truly reflecting the iconic Japanese restaurant, the menu includes six unique serves – each created in-house by the ROKA team.
In addition to its four London locations (Charlotte Street, Canary Wharf, Mayfair and Aldwych) and due to its success in Dubai, ROKA quickly expanded to Istanbul, Riyadh and are soon to open in Kuwait.
