Ruler of Sharjah inspects the progress of the Hanging Gardens project in Kalba city

Yesterday His Highness inspected Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Councilor and Ruler of Sharjah, the progress of work on the Hanging Gardens project in the city of Kalba, which is located in the right mountain height after Al-Hayar. Tunnel towards Kalba.

Upon his arrival, His Highness was briefed on the plans for the remaining phases of the implementation of the project, which covers an area of ​​one and a half million square meters, and listened to a detailed explanation about the progress of the work and the main completed and remaining stages at the level of afforestation, agriculture, implementation of waterfalls, parking lots and various facilities and services.

The project is characterized by the diversity of natural and tourist attractions, where the height of the hanging gardens is (53.5) meters from the level of the garden that accompanies the project to give the visitor a characteristic view of the gardens and Al Hafiya- the lake. Kalba , and (16) km from Wadi Al-Hilu.

The project will also include a water basin at the bottom of the waterfall, which is designed to collect and divert the collected water from the western side of the Al-Hayar tunnel towards the eastern side, passing through the garden, in addition to different types of plants and trees where 16 species were planted to be planted in the second phase, the rest of the species to reach 54 species.

The hanging gardens will feature a garden at ground level, sessions, walkways, barbecue areas and public services. There will also be 4 main walkways for pedestrians in the mountains surrounding the garden, each with seating and a mountain path surrounded by various trees and flowers.

As for the second phase, it will include the implementation of a cafeteria building that can accommodate (110) people inside and (90) outside, besides service facilities, a prayer room for men and another for women, a play area for children and others and others for adults and adventure games.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah was accompanied during his inspection of the Hanging Gardens project by Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Environment and Nature Reserves Authority, Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Head of Public Works Department, Engineer Salah bin Butti Al Muhairi, Manager of the Initiatives Implementation Authority, and a number of officials.

Yesterday His Highness visited Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Councilor and Ruler of Sharjah, Khamis bin Saeed Al Mazrouei, Wali of Wadi Al Helou.

During his visit to Khamis bin Saeed Al Mazrouei Majlis, His Highness reassured his state of health and wished him continued health, well-being and blessings in life, family and progeny. His Highness also exchanged cordial talks with the Wali of Wadi Al-Helou and his sons and listened to His Highness for the most important needs of the region and the conditions of its people in a way that improves their family stability, strengthens their social ties and provides the region with more development projects.

Khamis bin Saeed Al Mazrouei, Wali of Wadi Al Helou, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his visit and follow-up on his health condition and praised the great support His Highness provided to the region in all areas of infrastructure, facilities, homes, gardens and more.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah was briefed on the plans for the expansion and development of the Al Hafiya Center for the Conservation of the Mountain Environment, which includes the establishment of a special area for the endangered Arabian tahr animal, in addition to the implementation of a cafeteria and a visitor area that possible for everyone to see and enjoy the nature and animals of the Al Tahr area.

His Highness led the preparation of the land allocated to the purification area of ​​the Al Hafiyah Reserve and its implementation in accordance with the best standards to contribute to the resettlement of purity in the areas from which it became extinct.
