The UAE Ministry of Education is actively seeking opinions from the public in the development of a unified framework for evaluating educational institutions across all 7 Emirates, including both private and public schools.

Through an online survey, the MoE hopes to consider the views of the public, as well as relevant stakeholders, on the New Unified UAE School Evaluation and Inspection Framework, in order to evaluate public satisfaction. Opinions recorded are then to be considered and used to influence improvements and developments.

The MoE said in a statement:

“We have worked in cooperation with all local educational authorities, including the Abu Dhabi Department of Education & Knowledge (ADEK), the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai, Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and the Emirates Schools Establishments (ESE) in developing a framework for evaluating educational institutions,”

The new framework has been created as part of the Centennial Vision 2071, of which education is outlined as one of its 4 pillars:

“Certain areas of focus in education include advanced science and technology, space science, engineering, innovation and health sciences. Other educational measures include teaching students, mechanisms for discovering their individual talents early. On the institutional level, educational institutions are encouraged to be incubators of entrepreneurship and innovation and to be international research centres.”

This federal initiative is being undertaken to develop educational institutions across the UAE, and improve its output in order to achieve this ambitious agenda.
