The meeting discussed many general government issues and reviewed a number of reports on the performance of government departments and agencies, in addition to progress in work on development projects in the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah. The council discussed a draft law on the organization of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock Resources, and after the members of the council had expressed their comments on the points and articles of the draft law, the council instructed to take the notes and end the legislative session. of the law. The Council discussed a report on the needs of residential areas for educational facilities in the Emirate of Sharjah to keep up with the large population growth and distribution of families in many new areas such as Al-Rahmaniya and Al-Suyoh suburbs. The report included the population growth in the regions and the current number of schools in them, both private and public, which require additional numbers to keep up with the large growth and to provide educational opportunities for students near their homes. The council mandated, in coordination with the concerned federal and local authorities, to develop solutions to provide educational facilities in the emirate’s regions in accordance with future plans and population surveys. The meeting included a review of the Sharjah Sports Council’s response to the recommendations of the Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah on discussing the Sports Council’s policy. The response included working to put the recommendations into practice in coordination with the relevant authorities.
