Starbucks has announced the launch of new plant-based food options in all its stores across the UAE and Kuwait.

From today, Starbucks is adding the Beyond Meat™ Triple Cheese Wrap and Beyond Meatball™ Arabian Ciabatta to lunch menus.

The move comes in response to increasing customer demand for more plant-based protein options in the Middle East, with the two new sandwich additions specially developed with Beyond Meat™ to suit local tastes and preferences, and to continue offering customers increased choice and personalisation in their Starbucks Experience.

The new food menu options in UAE and Kuwait include:

  • Beyond Meat™ Triple Cheese Wrap: A tortilla wrap filled with plant-based Beyond Beef™, with a blend of three cheeses including red cheddar, mozzarella and feta, topped with herb-roasted bell peppers and marina sauce, all garnished with soft basil.
  • Beyond Meatball Arabian Ciabatta: A soft ciabatta filled with plant-based Beyond Beef™ on a bed of fresh labneh and baby spinach.

Rana Shaheen, Regional Communications and CSR Manager for Starbucks Coffee MENA, says: “Starbucks is always looking to develop new and exciting products for our customers who want to eat more plant-rich foods.

We will continue to innovate our food and beverage menu, offering greater variation and more delicious plant-based choices, as we work towards becoming a resource positive company.”

Globally, Starbucks continues to introduce plant-based beverages and food across each of its markets. The Beyond Meat Triple Cheese Wrap and Beyond Meatball Arabian Ciabatta is part of the ongoing expansion of our menu to offer a wide range of choices that suit the various needs of our customers.

Currently, Starbucks EMEA offers a selection of dairy alternatives, including oat, coconut, soy, and almond, in addition to the reformulation of popular beverages such as the Pumpkin Spice Latte to make them dairy-free.
