The Fujairah Charity Fund supports school and university students with 191 million dirhams

The Fujairah Charitable Society reported that it provided financial assistance to 1221 school and university students, children of low-income families, citizens and residents of the country who suffer from difficult financial conditions that prevent the payment of financial obligations to schools and universities, through support programs allocated to the educational process of a price of 191 million and 153 thousand dirhams.

The chairman of the board of the Fujairah Charitable Society, Saeed Al Raqbani, told «Emirates Today» that the association has been working since the beginning of the current academic year to count the number of students in low-income families, orphans and people determination for to meet all their educational requirements from the payment of tuition fees to them, and to organize reinforcement lessons to enable eligible students to develop their academic levels, pay fees for students with determination, provide them with school supplies and teaching equipment, and provide bags containing all the basic study tools such as files, technical tools, lunch bags and notebooks.

He added that the programs launched by the association to support school students contributed to helping a large number of students from low-income families meet the requirements of the educational process and their involvement in education, while providing them with the necessary educational funds , in addition to ongoing financial and in-kind support throughout the academic year. He pointed out that in the last period the association has been working hard on the ongoing renewal of the website and activation of all charitable and humanitarian services electronically with the aim of relieving the needy groups and informing the philanthropists about the services, programs and activities offered. of the association and communicates with all groups interested in charitable and humanitarian work in its various fields. From individuals, public and private institutions and philanthropists, to deepen the ties of cooperation and effective participation through the website.

Al-Raqbani confirmed that the association paid the tuition fees during the last academic year for 1,543 students from “schools and universities” children of low-income families to citizens and residents of the country, especially those affected by the “Corona” pandemic, for the two academic years, with financial support of three million and 720 thousand dirhams.

He pointed out that despite the development and challenges that the association’s management has witnessed in the past two academic years, and made a great effort to provide assistance to the needy under strict precautions and measures, where initiatives were developed to to serve deserving groups who were affected by the “Corona” virus.

He added that thanks to the trust of the benefactors, the association achieved its strategic goals and overcame challenges, thanks to the management’s instructions and the board’s follow-up.
