Priced under the government’s Clean Car Discount $80,000 rebate threshold, the EV6 Air is available in two variants: the 58kWh Standard Range and the 77.4kWh Long Range. Notably, the Long Range variant qualifies for the rebate, making it one of the few big battery Kia or Hyundai EVs priced within the rebate threshold.
In terms of range, Kia claims that the Air Long Range can travel up to 528km on the WLTP cycle. Real-world performance is expected to be in the range of 400km-450km depending on various conditions. The efficiency of the EV6 Air sets it apart from competitors with similarly sized batteries, such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Volkswagen ID.4 Pro.

Inside, the EV6 Air offers a comfortable and quiet ride. The build quality and material choices are excellent, contributing to a premium feel. The cabin features dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and the dash display, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, and a powered tailgate. The spacious rear liftback provides easy access to the generous 490L boot, expanding to 1300L with the seats down.
While the EV6 Air may lack some of the advanced features found in higher trims, such as blind spot monitoring and heated seats, it still offers a compelling package for its price point.
