The Palestinian Minister of Health, Dr. Mai Al-Kaila, announced that two cases of the Indian “Delta” strain of the emerging corona virus had been detected in two girls from Qalqilya and Salfit who arrived in the country from the Emirates.

And the minister added in a press statement, today, Sunday, that everything necessary had been done from an epidemiological point of view, and samples were taken from those who had contact with the two girls and quarantined them.

The Minister of Health called on citizens to quickly register on the electronic platform to book appointments for receiving the Corona vaccine, adding that, according to the World Health Organization, the majority of vaccines currently used reduce infection with the Corona virus, and if they do not prevent infection with it, they at least prevent the emergence of serious symptoms.

She added, that elderly citizens, those with chronic and cancerous diseases, and medical staff who have not yet received vaccinations, should go to the vaccination centers as soon as possible to take the anti-Corona vaccine.

According to “Russia Today”, the Minister of Health called on citizens to limit travel abroad except in cases of extreme necessity, in addition to speeding up registration on the electronic platform to receive the Corona vaccine.

The Indian mutation, “Delta”, is the most transmissible among the variants of the Corona virus that have been identified so far, and it spreads very quickly among people, especially those who have not received vaccination, in addition to the fact that the disease progression in those infected with it is faster than other mutations.
