“Tourism and Antiquities” in Umm Al Quwain appreciates the efforts of “Urban Heritage”

Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Chairman of the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain, praised the great efforts made by the Urban Heritage Society of the UAE to protect the historical buildings that abound in the country and for the services , consultations and support provided by the Society in the field of preservation and documentation of the country’s urban heritage Rehabilitation and dissemination of cultural awareness in this area.
This happened when Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla received a delegation from the Urban Heritage Society led by Eng. Rashad Bukhash, President of the Society. During the meeting, the Society awarded Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla membership of the Honorary Society.

Bukhash expressed his gratitude for Sheikh Majid bin Saud Al Mualla’s efforts to preserve the national heritage and his appreciation for his role in recent years in spreading awareness of the importance of preserving heritage and historical buildings in the emirate by launching several projects , the most important of which is the Umm Al Quwain Heritage Neighborhood project.
Bukhash said that the existing cooperation between the Urban Heritage Society and the Department of Tourism and Antiquities in Umm Al Quwain aims to support projects that will preserve the country’s urban heritage and enrich the tourist value of historical buildings.
