The world ranking of the best-selling luxury cars in 2023 was led by the BMW 5 Series for the third year in a row with sales of 263,993 cars, which is -13.6% less than the year before. The ranking was compiled by Focus2Move based on sales data in 160 countries. It includes executive class cars larger than 4.8 m.

In production since 1972, the BMW 5 Series is the second best-selling BMW ever, with more than 8 million vehicles sold worldwide over seven generations.

In second place was the Mercedes E Class with 258,226 cars (-4.6%). In third place is the Audi A6 with a result of 256,656 units, which is 38.5% more than a year earlier. This allows this model to become a serious candidate for leadership in 2024.

In fourth place is the Hyundai Grandeur with 113,085 units sold (+68.7%), followed by the Zeekr 001 with 76,357 units (+6.1%), the Toyota Crown with 68,534 units (+284%) and the Skoda Superb. , sales of which amounted to 66,767 units (11.9%).
