Newly opened Address Beach Resort recently broke world records as the highest infinity pool in the world – but it’s not the only one in the emirate worth dipping into this summer

With temperatures on the rise and travel still uncertain, home-grown pool days are on the horizon. This summer, why not elevate your swimming pool escapades by seeking out an infinity pool with a view?

From the record-breaking Address Beach Resort (voted as the best newcomer by World Traveller Middle East readers) pool to the even more recently opened SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, here’s a list of the best in Dubai to visit during the long hot summer.

The best infinity pools in Dubai

Located along JBR and overlooking Bluewaters Islands, strollers of the popular walking route have been eagerly awaiting the opening of the latest Address offering for some time. It didn’t disappoint – and its sky-high infinity pool plays a big part in that. This week, the hotel was awarded the Guinness World Record title of ‘highest outdoor infinity pool in a building in the world’ for its pool overlooking the sandy shores of the beaches below and the Ain Dubai wheel that stands opposite. So head up to level 77 on your next pool day and enjoy Asian fusion bites from ZETA Seventy Seven, too.

Even newer on the scene, this artistic hotel located in Dubai’s Business Bay brings with it some seriously Instagrammable pool options. Head up to the 75th floor (just two behind you, Address!) and not one but two pools overlooking Downtown Dubai will be inviting you in for a dip. Getting that Burj-Khalifa-in-the-background shot will be an easy feat here. Pool bar Privilege is perfect for light bites and classic cocktails – it’s the one you head to 360-views over fanciful fare.

Burj Al Arab

Of course, the Burj Al Arab wouldn’t miss out on a chance to be included in the best of the best. Head to Sal within the Burj Al Arab Terrace, and make the most of the pool that overlooks the Arabian Gulf while creating the illusion of blending into it, satisfying all your sea-view cravings. As for hunger cravings, Sal serves up Italian cuisine that’s light enough for poolside dining.

It’s not all about size, as City Walk’s chicest hotel reminds us. Understated luxury runs from the lobby to LookUp – the rooftop bar that hosts this Instagram-worthy pool. Swim up to the edge to gaze over downtown Dubai and take in the glaring view of the iconic Burj Khalifa. Poke bowls and tapas plates are available for order, but it’s the range of cocktails that are for really that taking.

There are infinity pools, then there are glass infinity pools that are more akin to floating in the skies than swimming through waters. While small in size, the infinity protruding from InterContinental Dubai Festival City’s structure looking over the Dubai Creek is still well worth a visit.

Sofitel Dubai Downtown

Another one for views of the city centre, head to the fifth-floor terrace at Sofitel Dubai Downtown to soak in the skyline while you have a dip – with some palm trees in your eye line too for contrast when it comes to views. The Mosaic Pool Lounge is ideal for light salads and quick poolside bites – think edamame beans and calamari – but we suggest checking out the sundowners happy hour to catch it at its best.

Who doesn’t love a hotel with a regal British theme? Whether you’re a fan of the quirky interior style or not, we simply won’t believe anyone who claims not to love the supersized infinity pool here. A slight elevation from the sea, it’s almost like being immersed in the waters – but without any sign of jellyfish. The view spans the cluster of Dubai Marina towers and Bluewaters Islands, making it one that’s pretty hard to beat. Oh, and the resort is also home to a lazy river, so…
