Grid System by Ben Cullen Williams

Clerkenwell will host site-specific installations, special projects, and collaborations, so, here are a few of them:

2LG Studio has given a vintage helter-skelter a new lease of life. The colorful installation, “Stay Playful (When No One Feels Like Playing),” is located in Spa Fields and celebrates the studio’s 10th anniversary. It offers visitors a playful spectacle and is inspired by the designer’s childhood memories.

Also, another work by London-based artist Ben Cullen Williams will present an audio-visual installation called “Grid System” at the House of Detention. The installation explores the impact of grids on our physical spaces and day-to-day lives. Williams has previously worked with well-known artists such as Marina Abramović and showcased his works in several international galleries including the Musée d’arts de Nantes and Sadler’s Wells.

Gatekeepers by Duffy London and Orsi Orban

Futher, Duffy London is collaborating with Orsi Orban to transform St John’s Gate with their latest installation, “Gatekeepers.” The sculptures are inspired by organic forms found in nature and evoke a dynamic sense of movement. The patterns interact with the flowing forms of the final pieces, imbuing them with a sense of organic vitality.

Clerkenwell Design Week will take place throughout EC1, London from May 21st to May 23rd in 2024. You can have more information by checking their website.
