One of the UK’s most successful boy bands, with seven number one singles to their name, is set to headline a music festival in the Scottish Borders this summer.

McFly – best known for hits such as All About You, Obviously and Five Colours in Her Hair – top the bill on the opening night of Edge Fest – which is being staged over two days at Lilliardsedge Holiday Park, near Jedburgh.

They’ll be joined on stage on Saturday, August 31st, by the likes of the 90s favourites Lightning Seeds and Wellerman star Nathan Evans.

The following day – Sunday, September 1st – 80s chart-toppers UB40 headline, alongside Jake Bugg and Scouting For Girls; while Callum Beattie returns following the inaugural event last year.

Organiser Stuart Macdonald told Greatest Hits Radio: “After last year’s event, the comments that we got were really positive and our goal this year was to bring the same event back – same feel – but just try to go a little bit bigger and a little bit better again, which I think we’ve done.”

And he added: “We’re really happy to put this event on in the Borders, for people in the Borders who, up til now, have generally had to travel to Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow for the sort of artists that we’re bringing into the festival.”
