AJMAN, September 8 / WAM / Ajman Transport Authority has announced the training of 1,209 school transport bus drivers and supervisors in the implementation of the training and awareness plan for drivers and supervisors, as part of its continued efforts to improve and raise the level of school transport safety .

Rasha Khalaf Al Shamsi, Director General of Ajman Transport Authority, said that the authority periodically works to rehabilitate school bus drivers and supervisors, as part of training programs and courses, on the various necessary processes and procedures in accordance with the requirements of traffic health and safety and in accordance with professional ethics and dealing with students from different countries school levels, to ensure the safety of our students during the school trip.

She added that the authority was able to implement 31 specialized and diversified training programs benefiting approximately 1,209 drivers and supervisors during the current year.

She confirmed that, in addition to school transport drivers and supervisors, the training center has included taxi and limousine drivers within the framework of training activities, and that the training services include various specialized training areas, including training programs to obtain authorization to practice the profession of a school bus driver, taxi driver and limousine driver and permits To practice the profession of school bus supervisors and training programs in the areas of road safety, technical safety, occupational safety, customer service, official protocols, handling VIPs and training using advanced and smart devices in the training areas.

Through its ongoing training of drivers, the Authority seeks to adopt and develop the delivered system of services, which contributes to raising the level of safety to achieve safe, sustainable and advanced transport and to establish a road safety culture among its drivers.
