The name of the brand was unveiled through a 16-second-long retro-style video

Meghan Markle, the spouse of Prince Harry, set social media abuzz on March 14 with a teaser of her forthcoming brand, which quickly went viral. As per the AFP news agency, the brand, dubbed American Riviera Orchard, appears to draw inspiration from the couple’s coastal California residence. The brand’s moniker was revealed in a 16-second retro-style video, featuring hands arranging flowers and the Duchess of Sussex herself stirring a pot in a kitchen. The clip culminated with a glimpse of a woman in formal attire standing at the end of an extended colonnade. Additionally, the official Instagram page of American Riviera Orchard showcased nine magnified images that, when combined, form the logo.

Regarding branding, American Riviera Orchard flaunts a gold-toned logo with the term “Montecito,” denoting the affluent town where the Sussexes and their children reside. Situated near Santa Barbara, the area is often dubbed the “American Riviera.” However, a BBC report suggests that the American Riviera Orchard intends to retail cookbooks, home goods like decanters and kitchen linens, and food items such as marmalade and jellies. Within just two days, the brand’s official Instagram page has garnered over 504,000 followers and offers a waitlist sign-up option. It’s worth noting that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California. Since then, no updates have been shared on their official Instagram account, “Sussex Royal.”
