ΚαληMeraba is a new intercommunal Cypriot organisation based in London, providing Cypriot-focused sociocultural and educational events for Cypriots of all communities and generations.
ΚαληMeraba has hosted events such as, Dinner & Dances, Cypriot Kitchen Workshops, Nicosia Walled City Tours, Cypriot Games Days and being part of the Bicommunal Cypriot Festival. These events have taken place at the Hackney Cypriot Association and Cypriot Community Centre given there intercommunal history and inclusivity.
ΚαληMeraba had its first event of 2024 – Cypriot Games Day – at the Hackney Cypriot Association filled with Cypriots from different generations and backgrounds. The games being played were Tavla / Τάβλι and Spasdra / Σπάστρα.
Being their first ever Cypriot games day they held group tutorials with a helping hand from Dede / Παππούς.
